What should I ask first?
Tell the provider if water came from a clean supply line, roof, drain or outdoors. Do not enter standing water near electricity or contact potentially contaminated water. Water removal may address visible water; mitigation may include limiting spread and checking drying; flood cleanup involves extra source and safety questions. Mold after water damage calls for separate health and moisture-source checks. Fixing a broken pipe, roof or drainage issue may require a separate professional.
